The Canadian Association of University Teachers Foundation ('CAUT Foundation') announces the 56th annual J.H. Stewart Reid Memorial Fellowship for 2026-2027 Doctoral Studies. The J.H. Stewart Reid Memorial Fellowship has been established through voluntary contributions to honour the memory of the first Executive Secretary of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (CAUT).

This Fellowship is available for doctoral studies only.

One fellowship in the amount of $7,500.

Doctoral program at any Canadian university.

Unrestricted.

Duration

The award is for one year.

Qualifications

A) Registration in a doctoral program at a Canadian university.

B) Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status in Canada.

C) Candidates must have completed comprehensive examinations, or equivalent, by April 30, 2026, and be registered and in good standing in their doctoral program as of September 1, 2026.

D) An excellent academic record in a graduate program.
